Presidential Speaker – Justin P. Cobb

Portrait Justin P. Cobb

Professor Cobb is Chair of Orthopaedics at Imperial College London, where he runs the MSk Lab, a group of engineers, scientists and clinicians inventing the next generation of interventions in musculoskeletal disease.

Spinouts from his group include Acrobot, the forerunner of the Mako system and Embody Orthopaedics, which created H1 – an anatomic cementless ceramic hip resurfacing device.

His clinical work is now carried out at Cleveland Clinic London, where he concentrates on less invasive procedures such as compartmental knee arthroplasty and direct anterior hip resurfacing.

He is Orthopaedic Surgeon to His Majesty King Charles, having previously looked the late Queen Elizabeth and her husband Prince Philip.
