Presidential Speaker – Richard McCalden

Dr Richard McCalden is Professor of Surgery at Western University, London Health Sciences Centre, London, Ontario. His orthopaedic training was done at the University of Toronto, after which he completed two further years of arthroplasty fellowship, one year in Toronto and the second year in Adelaide, Australia. Dr McCalden has been in practice in London since 1994, where he is now the Fellowship Director for the Adult Reconstruction Unit. Dr McCalden is a member of multiple orthopaedic associations including the North American Hip & Knee Societies and the International Hip Society. He has received two Charnley Hip Awards from the North American Hip Society, the Insall Award and the Coventry Award from the North American Knee Society, and the Carroll Laurin Award from the Canadian Orthopaedic Society. Dr McCalden has over 140 published articles in peer-reviewed journals.
