Yixin Zhou

Dr. Yixin Zhou is a globally recognized orthopedic surgeon serving as Professor and Director of Adult Reconstructive Surgery at Beijing Jishuitan Hospital,The National Orthopeadic Center of China. He is a professor at Peking University and Capital Medical University. Following his medical education in China, he completed prestigious international fellowships at Cambridge University and Harvard Medical School.

As a pioneer in analytical joint reconstruction, Dr. Zhou has profoundly advanced robotic-assisted arthroplasty and patient-specific implant design. His innovative research focuses on resolving kinematic conflicts in joint replacement through advanced mathematical formulations, utilizing frameworks like the Kinematic Constitutive Equation and the Gap-Tension Matrix for position-guided resection planning. He concurrently leads a National Key R&D Program developing highly immersive, adaptive multi-modal dynamic sensing joint-replacement robotics.

Dr. Zhou holds prominent leadership positions across major global orthopedic organizations. He is a Founding Member of the International Knee Society (IKS), a Member of the International Hip Society (IHS), the recent President of the Arthroplasty Society in Asia (ASIA), and Co-Chair of the Youth Committee for the Asia-Pacific Arthroplasty Society (APAS). A prolific academic, he has published extensively in top-tier journals and serves as Editor-in-Chief for several authoritative Springer textbooks on primary and revision arthroplasty.
